Good news this morning! Steve King e-mailed me that the Lexington Park Rotary Club will contribute a very generous $3,000. He is hopeful that contributions from Rotary Clubs and individuals will allow digging to begin by February 2012. We are counting partly on Rotary contributions, partly on individual contributions for both phases: • Phase 1: $30,000 [...] Do you need a speaker for your organization or club? Are you a teacher or PTA member in the Metro DC/MD/VA area, Adams and York counties in PA? For a tax-deductible contribution to the Oltorotua Clean Water and Sanitation Project, I’ll speak to your group. In 2008 his Maasai dance troupe, which no longer exists, danced at our church. We had a great turnout to see them and picking them up at the airport and serving dinner was great fun, and also rather complicated, since [...] On Tuesday evening, Steve King, who wrote the grant proposal, and I spoke at a local Rotary meeting. They are seriously considering a club donation to the well and sanitation project. As Steve spoke, I noticed the group seemed very interested.
