A Maasai in the US

I met Nicholas Sironka a few years ago when he and his Maasai dance troupe performed at the UU church in Frederick and then went to DC to perform as part of Obama’s inaugural events.  Sironka, as he is known (rather than Nicholas), is now living in the U.S. and has a showing of his batik work in that “other Washington” — Spokane Valley, WA, where he now lives and works in art therapy with children at Sacred Heart Hospital. You can see more of his wonderful work on his website and, if you’re near Spokane Valley, I know he would love to meet you.
