Oops, It's Almost September

I don’t know where the time has gone since we returned from Kenya and I last posted.  No use to offer excuses for being so delinquent!

We like to visit a school when we travel to Kenya.  Becky, Carl and I took school supplies like paper, colored pencils, and pens for our visit to a Maasai school near Amboseli Porini Camp and the Selenkay Conservancy. My daughter Hope took soccer balls (or should I say footballs?) for the students as she has on past trips and they have always been excitedly received.  You can click the play button on the short video below.  Although it lasts only 24 seconds, I love it for several reasons.  For one, when given a new ball, it shows kids are kids around the world.  Second, I love the young Maasai youth holding a yellow water jug who is practicing his jumping at the same time, a skill on which Maasai males take great pride. The sun was very bright so I just held my iPhone high and clicked start video with no idea what I would capture. The students’ enthusiasm for our visit, and, of course, a new ball, was fantastic to see!
